Sias International University offers 3 different types of academic programs tailored to meet the needs of today’s students living and competing in a global environment. These are the Chinese Studies Certificate Programs for international students, American Bachelor Degree Programs for both native Chinese speaking students and international students who speak English as a second language, and Chinese Degree Programs for native Chinese speaking students.
Chinese Certificate Study Abroad Programs

The Chinese Studies Certificate Programs are state of the art 21st century study abroad programs that provide a first-class educational experience for those seeking to expand their knowledge of ancient and contemporary Chinese knowledge in the fields of language, humanities, the arts, and traditional medicine. One semester and one year programs allow students to choose a specialization from three available program tracks or alternatively they can create their own program. Field trips throughout China are also a core part of the programs so that upon completion a student will have experienced “every day” China in addition to gaining academic knowledge of Chinese society and culture.
American Bachelor Degree Programs
Beginning in the Fall of 2000, Sias International University and
Fort Hays State University (KS) began a partnership to provide American accredited bachelors degrees in China for fluent Chinese speaking students (non-ethnic Chinese must pass a Chinese language proficiency test to be accepted into this program). This degree program is now also being extended to include international students who speak English as a second language by having all necessary courses delivered in English! Concentrations in Business Management, Information Networking, International Finance, or Business English will be offered for both Chinese and English programs.
Students must pass 124 credit hours in order to be awarded the bachelor’s degree, of which 94 hours are courses taught by Sias International University instructors and 30 hours are Fort Hays State University courses taught by foreign instructors. Upon completion of this program, students will be awarded an American Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) degree from Fort Hays State University as well as a Chinese recognized degree from Sias International University.
This program is an excellent opportunity for both Chinese and non-native English speaking international students to earn a valuable degree while improving their English language skills and gaining greater insight into Western culture and teaching methodologies at very reasonable tuition rates. For more information about this program and to apply, please contact the International Cooperation and Exchange Department (I.C.E.D).
