Before coming to SIAS, I had already lived in China for three years and during that time I never truly felt at home. That all changed the second I first walked through the front gate. This university is a dream come true for me. It has the perfect mix of both western and eastern lifestyles and philosophies.
I have studied in both the Chinese Language and Bachelor’s Degree Programs and highly recommend both. The classes are phenomenal. The teachers are kind and caring but more importantly they know their stuff! These teachers have made learning interesting again. The dormitories are awesome. Big rooms, TV, fridge , A/C, Water Dispenser with free Water bottles, the whole nine yards. SIAS has absolutely top notch facilities on the most beautiful campus I have ever seen. It's amazing. We even have a big piece of Chinese history RIGHT HERE on campus, an ancient Chinese pagoda. But, of course, the entire city in which SIAS is located is filled with history. It is called the birthplace of modern China.
If you are interested in coming to China to study, teach, live or just travel, SIAS provides a means to do it. Not just do it but do it in a way that will change your life forever. SIAS is an incredible university that deeply affects everyone associated with it. I was ready to leave China before I came to SIAS. After seeing China as a SIAS student, I may never leave.

First of all, we all appreciate of our lovely teachers,Mrs Fan,Mrs Liu,Mrs Wang，and other kind hearted people. Without you,we can not make such huge progresses! How time flies! we even cannot speak “Nihau’s the Chinese friends when we came here last Feb.21th.Consequently,we were all afraid of the I year living in China. Simulate easily, we felt hopeless in the future study. But, when we found no way out much more extra help to us not only on study but also on the daily life. we cannot find adequate words to describe and eulogize,just“Thank you all!”What's more,thanks for your endeavor, now we can talk to my Chinese friends in Chinese fluently. We also must face a lot of problems, such as the Chinese food and the fluctuating exchange rate. But, those have already become the special experiences in our lives. Plus particular Chinese spice and our first experience about earthquake, more than expected. We did not want to leave because we miss here so much when we called up the deep precious memory.
