The School of Physical Education, growing out of the Sias Physical Education Department, mainly undertakes the teaching, training and scientific research of physical education speciality, traditional physical education speciality and public physical education.

Currently there are 51 faculty members in the School of Physical Education, including 5 professors and associate professors, 17 lecturers, 17 postgraduates, 3 national grade judges.
The School of Physical Education now has three subordinates: the Department of Physical Education, the Teaching and Research Department of Public Physical Education and the Managing Center for Senior Athlete Teams.

The Department of Physical Education mainly takes charge of the daily work of physical education speciality; and the Teaching and Researching Department of Public Physical Education mainly takes charge of teaching and examination of public physical education courses, collective sports activities and sports competition; and the Managing Center for Senior Athlete Teams mainly takes charge of the training, competition and management for senior athletes.

Authorized by the Ministry of Education, the School of Physical Education began to recruit four-year undergraduates of physical education speciality in 2005. It has been lasted for four years since its first admission and its student number in campus reaches 385. Based on the Sias unique character, the School of Physical Education are seriously carrying out the national education policy to nurture versatile international talents of physical education who are proficient in English，great in skill, extensive in communication and updated in knowledge, and who are of modern educational idea, both creative and practical capacity. The Staff and faculty from the School of Physical Education persist in the educational idea of scientific teaching approach and management, and adhere to the principles of quality priority, practice and innovation, and are working hard to turn the School of Physical Education into a well-known one with unique style in Henan Province in not long after.
