Orientation and Logistics
Chinese Visa Process
Students are responsible for applying for their Chinese visa in their home country from their nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate. As soon as students have received an invitation letter of acceptance from Sias University which will include the government JW202 form, they should apply for their Student X Visa. After arrival in China, Sias University will assist the students in gaining their residency permit as required by Chinese law.
Getting to Sias
Upon the receipt of your visa, students should inform the Office of International Admissions of their travel itinerary, and Sias will provide an airport pick-up from (and return to) Zhengzhou International Airport (CGO) each semester. Be certain to schedule your travel times with ample time (two to three days minimum) before the semester begins in order to adjust to the time change and new living accommodations, prior to the start of classes.
