西亚斯博雅住宿书院简介
郑州西亚斯学院博雅住宿书院于2018年成立，旨在探索中国传统书院与西方大学住宿学院相结合的高素质创新人才培养模式。推进住宿书院制、推动高校教育人才培养模式改革，是西亚斯学院独具特色的办学理念，具有开放性、探索性、国际性、创新性等特征。博雅住宿书院是西亚斯学院八大特色书院之一，目前拥有在校学生4300余人，涉及全校14个专业学院50多个本专科专业学科，拥有育人导师17名，汇集不同专业、不同学科，以一流的管理水平和专业化的教育理念，成为学生的精神导师。
书院位于学校北区西班牙街，共包括7栋学生公寓及相关附属建筑。西班牙街为欧洲商业街在校北区的延伸，因具有浓浓的西班牙风情而得名。该建筑群由美国设计师Lee及其团队设计，地下室至一层为商业街及各种功能单元，二至七层为学生公寓。高耸的钟塔、大台阶、新月形喷泉广场层次分明，整个建筑群体现出质朴的内涵和奋发向上的精神面貌。书院配有导师办公室、党团活动室、社团活动室、心理咨询室、研讨交流室、咖啡洽谈区、谈心室、自习室、文化活动交流中心、餐厅、商铺、自助洗衣房、瑜伽室、健身房、篮球场等设施。书院还根据自身特色建设文化长廊、展示厅等丰富师生学习生活的功能区域。
博雅住宿书院以“博学天下、雅行世界”为院训，以“博采众长，兼容并蓄；博而不杂，雅而不俗；卓然超凡，全面发展”为发展理念，以坚持全人教育，丰富综合知识，提升素质能力，塑造健康人格，培养具有深厚人文底蕴，厚植家国情怀、宽广国际视野、创业创新意识的复合型人才为培养目标，共建一个师生亲密互动、开放包容、和而不同的多元化育人社区。学生来自不同的专业学院，具有不同的学科背景，博雅书院就是他们的家。书院要树立“学生永远第一”的理念，关注、关心、关怀其成长，为学生打造学习交流平台，创造体验实践机会，提供创业指导服务。让他们在书院这个大家庭里快乐学习，健康成长，体验到西亚斯兼容中西、知行合一的校训精神，感悟到博雅书院仰望星空、脚踏实地的治学态度。

Brief Introduction to Boya Residential College
Founded in 2018, Boya Residential College of Zhengzhou Sias University aims to explore the training model of high-quality and innovative talents, which combines traditional Chinese academies with western residential colleges. The university’s running idea of Sias is featured by advancing the residential college and promoting the reform of talent cultivation model, which is open, exploratory, international and innovative. Boya Residential College is one of the eight residential colleges in Sias, and presently, there are more than 4,300 students involving more than 50 disciplines in 14 faculties. Besides, seventeen counselors from different majors and disciplines are working there, who are students’ spiritual mentors with qualified management competence and special education wisdom.
Located in Spanish Street, north district of the university，Boya consists of seven student apartments and other ancillary buildings (annexes). Spanish Street, named for its strong Spanish style, is the extension of European Commercial Street, North District. Taking “Learn widely from the world and travel gracefully on the earth” as its motto, and “learning extensively and compatibly; being erudite but not confused, graceful but not vulgar; being outstanding and extraordinary, pursuing all-round development” as its developing concept，adhering to holistic education, Boya is devoted to enriching students’ comprehensive knowledge, enhancing their capability and shaping their sound personality. Meanwhile, Boya aims to cultivate composite talents with profound cultural background, deep love for family and nation, wide international vision and strong innovation awareness, as well as to build, an intimate, open, harmonious and unique, multi-cultural education community. With different academic background, students in Boya Residential College come from different professional faculties, but Boya is their common home. Standing by the principle of “students first”, Boya always pays great attention to students’ growth through building platforms for learning and communicating, creating opportunities for experiment and practice, and providing guidance to career as well.
It is here that students can study happily and grow healthily, experience the spirit of Sias’ motto—“East Meets West, Integrating Knowledge and Practice”, and taste the scholar’s attitude of “Keeping your eyes on the stars and feet on the ground” .
