23RD INTERNATIONAL CULTURE WEEK

Sias University held the opening ceremony of its 23rd International Culture Week at the Moscow Red Square (Cultural Town) on November 1st. The International Culture Week was held from November 1st to 6th and celebrated specific regions and their cultures for each day of the week - China Day, Asia Day, Latin America & Africa Day, Europe Day, and North America & Australia Day - culminated in the extravaganza that is the International Culture Week Finale.

In the Acting President Zhao Yuxin’s opening speech, he welcomed the guests on behalf of Sias. He said that the International Culture Week had been held for 22 years and is an important tradition of the university with a significant role in Sias' culture. He said that he hoped that Chinese and international students would use this opportunity to learn about each others' cultures, enrich and improve their lives, and contribute to the increase of internationalization at Sias. He encouraged those present to immerse themselves in the week's activities and academic lectures that crossed boundaries of nationality and language.

Kang Jie, former First-Class Inspector at the Henan Department of Culture & Tourism, and Deputy Director of the Committee of Experts on Cultural Tourism at the Henan Research Center for Public Culture and the Founder, and Chairman of the Board of Sias, Dr. Shawn Chen then inaugurated the traditional lion dance, and Zhao Yuxin officially announced the opening of Sias University's 23rd International Culture Week.

The theme of the 23rd International Culture Week is "Innovation leads the Future, and Culture promotes Exchanges".
